Dear Students and Gateway Family,
I want to start by saying thank you to the students, parents, and Gateway congregation. It has been a privilege to serve as your Director of Youth Ministry and to be part of the staff that serves the Gateway family.
The decision to transition from ½ time Gateway and ½ Young Life to full-time Young Life was not an easy one. During my time here, I’ve grown to love the students who call Gateway home and the leaders who have a heart for seeing young people grow in their faith. But as both ministries look to grow and do exceptional ministry it became clear that it was in the best interest of both ministries to have full-time leadership and this decision makes that possible. My last day will be Monday, April 30th.
As the Young Life Area Director, I am excited about bringing together teams of adults and students who are passionate about sharing their lives and Jesus with others. I’m looking forward to seeing the Wyldlife program continue to grow as we faithfully enter the world of students and share Christ with them through Club, Contact Work, Camp, and soon Campaigners. And I’m counting down the days until we launch Young Life at TDHS.
Please know that I am not going anywhere. I am going to continue to be a member of the Gateway family and look forward to worshiping with you all on Sunday. I’m also committed to praying for and supporting the staff and leadership as they discern and lead us along God’s path for Gateway.
Please continue to pray for me and the Young Life Committee and leaders as we answer the call to share the Gospel and our lives with students. And thank you again for your support and the opportunity to serve as your Director of Youth Ministry.
Your Brother in Christ,
